When subscribing what should be the camera quantity for a NVR with ftp upload capability?

Is it 1 for the NVR and that covers 16 cameras connected to the NVR?

Or is it 16 -- one for each camera?

If all 16 cameras will record footage to the cloud, then you need to order 16 camera licenses. Please send an email to CameraFTP support (or call us during our business hours) about your detailed needs. We might be able to offer you a special discount for 16 cameras.

When configuring a DVR, if you cannot configure cameras separately, you can configure the DVR to record all footage to one camera folder first, then contact CameraFTP support. We can configure the cloud server to separate the camera folders for you.

 Thanks for the info.

In our scenario only some of the 16 cameras require offsite video storage of recordings. But our Reolink NVR (model RLN16-410) enables ftp upload at the NVR level rather than camera by camera.

I'll contact CameraFTP support to discuss this.

Most DVRs/NVRs support per-channel configuration. Multiple camera channels can share the same FTP account information, which is totally fine. You just need to configure the NVR to record all footage to one camera folder on our FTP server. After that is done, please send an email to CameraFTP customer support. We will configure the server to separate different cameras into different camera folders.

I believe some Reolink NVRs support per-channel configuration, please see this screenshot:

As you can see, it allows you to select a channel. Different NVRs have different configuration interface. If you have more questions, please email us screenshots showing the NVRs configuration interface and the values that you configured to the NVR.
