(1) If you account is a free account, then you just need to log in to www.cameraftp.com, then click your username on the top-right corner to go to Account page. Then click Subscribe. You will see 4 recording types: Image recording plans, video recording plans, timelapse recording plans and local recording plans. Select a recording type, then select a plan, or customize a plan to order. Please watch this video for more detailed information about CameraFTP service plans and pricing:

(2) If you want to add a camera license, then you can simply order a new plan. The new plan will be added to your current service plans.

(3) If you want to change your service plan, you can order a new plan first; then go to My Cameras page, click the Settings icon below your camera thumbnail. You can then bind the camera with the newly ordered camera license. After that, go to Account page, click Manage Subscriptions, you can then cancel the old subscription plan.

Good morning. My current plan includes four cameras. I would like to increase the number of cameras. If I cancel my current plan and create a new one, will I lose my old images?

Thanks for your help,

Dennis

There are two ways to upgrade your service plan. For example, if you already have 4 camera licenses, and you want to add 2 more camera licenses. You can:

(1) Order a new subscription of 2 camera licenses. This way, you will have 2 subscriptions adding up to 6 camera licenses.

(2) Order a new subscription of 6 camera licenses first; then log in to www.cameraftp.com, go to My Cameras page, click the Settings icon below each camera thumbnail and then bind the camera with a newly ordered camera license. If no camera is using the old licenses, you can go to Account page, click Manage Subscription, then cancel the old subscription. This way, you will have only one subscription with 6 camera licenses.

Method (1) is easier and more flexible. One big advantage is: the two subscriptions can have different recording parameters / prices. For example, the first 4 camera licenses can be for low-resolution / low-cost recording; the 2 more camera licenses can be for high-quality recording with longer retention time. If you only have one subscription, then all 6 camera licenses must have exactly the same recording parameters and retention time. If you need to reduce the number of camera licenses later, Method (1) is also more flexible as you can just cancel one subscription.

If you use one of the above methods to upgrade, you will not lose your footage. Your camera folders will be kept intact.
