Greetings,

I dumped the video footage that the camera recorded for one camera, I've added another camera. Now When I try to stream both LIVE, all I see on the screen is "Waiting for new Data"

It no longer streams LIVE. No setings were changed or modified. I just added my 2nd camera the same way I added the first camera. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I just checked your account and noticed that you probably use CameraFTP Webcam Security Camera app. Your cameras are online and you should be able to connect to them for live viewing. I guess the camera app was not running on your PC? Please open the app window and check if there is any error message. When viewing a camera on CameraFTP, there are several modes dependent on your camera type:

(1) If your camera is a CameraFTP's virtual camera or virtual NVR app, then it supports real-time live video & audio viewing; moreover, it supports 2-way video & audio calling. This feature is not dependent on cloud recording.

(2) If you use a regular IP camera / NVR, then you must configure the device to upload footage to CameraFTP cloud first. When viewing the camera, there will be a delay of about 1-2 minutes since the footage must be uploaded to the cloud first and then downloaded from the cloud by the viewer.

If your camera is configured to upload only when a motion is detected, then you will see "waiting for new data" frequently. It is ok for regular surveillance. If you want to avoid it, you can order a continuous recording plan and configure your device to upload footage to CameraFTP continuously.

(3) To play back a camera, your camera must record footage to the cloud; if you use CameraFTP's virtual camera/NVR app, then it can also play back locally recorded (or cached) footage.

(4) If you publish a camera and use the Publish URL to view the camera, the viewer will only connect to the CameraFTP server and play the cloud footage only. This way, it can support a lot more concurrent connections.

We recommend using CameraFTP VSS software instead of Webcam Security Camera. CameraFTP Webcam Security Camera app is a Microsoft Store app. While it is super easy to install / uninstall, Microsoft Store apps are not allowed to access certain advanced features, and it can only support one webcam.

CameraFTP VSS software is much more powerful. It can use a PC as a powerful CCTV NVR system. It supports multiple webcams and IP cameras; it can also support regular NVRs if they support ONVIF & RTSP. Also, VSS can run in the background service mode. If your computer is rebooted, VSS can start automatically even if nobody is logged into the PC.
